My journey as a dog trainer began in late 2017. To great disappointment, my own dog in Lebanon was mistaken for a stray and poisoned. This experience made me realise that despite always owning dogs I was a novice as far as training them or teaching them life skills concerned. Seeking to rectify this situation, I then sought out Vera and Karen, who had trained a friend’s dog, and, as chance would have it, they needed help with their classes in East Dulwich. Over two years, I started out observing, then aiding, and eventually I began teaching the adult class. During this period, I completed a foundation degree in Canine Behaviour and Welfare, and attended numerous workshops in Canine First Aid, hunting dog training, and scent work.
