Kate is currently in her final year of a BSc (hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour at the University of Portsmouth, which includes continuous assessment of her theoretical and practical based skills. She is a student member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and therefore ensures adherence to the highest ethical standards and codes of practice.
Kate has extensive work experience at various organisations, the Guide Dogs for the Blind at their training school in Redbridge, at Dog’s Trust Dog school, Kent and she is currently volunteering part time as an educational speaker with Blue Cross, delivering a national programme of talks to schools and youth groups.
She lives in East Dulwich with her husband and four year old Newfoundland, Teddy and has special interests in scent work and water rescue training which she enjoys during the summer months with her bear!
